ECOSTAR 2K is a two-component water-based polyurethane lacquer for wooden floors, characterized by high solid content, easy to apply, high pore wettability even on brushed woods giving a warm and pleasant shade to the floor treated. ECOSTAR 2K has high abrasion and sole marks resistances allowing its use for high traffic surfaces. CERTIFICATIONS: SURFACE RESISTANCE TO COLD LIQUIDS EN 12720 AND CHEMICALS AGENTS EN 13442. When working conditions are critical (hot temperatures, low humidity or large areas), it is advisable to add 5-10% of retardant DILUENTE DR H20 (see technical data sheet). Apply the finish evenly with a smooth flowing action avoiding accumulations and any risk of overlapping. A second coat of ECOSTAR 2K can be applied after 4 hours without sanding or after 24 hours with a previous light sanding using a 220/320 paper grit. During the application it is very important to apply the varnish along the wood grain. A third coat of ECOSTAR 2K can be applied, following the previously mentioned guidelines. In order to achieve better results and higher softness to the touch, it is advisable to sand after each coat. Very good results can be achieved by applying a first coat of ECOPRIME HS 120 (see technical data sheet), sanding and applying one or two coats of ECOSTAR 2K. For a more intense coloration of the wood it is advisable to use as first coat ECOCROM (see technical data sheet). In case of application of ECOSTAR 2K directly on wood with tannin content is advisable to make a preliminary test. The maintenance of wooden floors treated with ECOSTAR 2K has to be done with VELUREX range of products (see technical data sheets).

Thanks to its special formulation ECOWOOD 2K is also suitable for coating light and dark wood species. The maintenance of wooden floors treated with ECOWOOD 2K has to be done with VELUREX range of products (see technical data sheets). N.B. In case of exotic wooden species with fatty substances, tannins and resin concretions, it is suggested to apply at least one coat of PRYMER 5180 or CHIM TABU PRYMER (see technical data sheets) before the application of ECOWOOD 2K. A preliminary test is always recommended.

INDUSTRIAL APPLICATION Spraying machine or single head roller coater applicable, it must be sponged to even out the colour and permit deep product penetration. After 24 hours from the first application, it is possible to apply a second coat of OIL WAX PLUS. COLORED CYCLE: on the treated wooden floor with LIOS BIOIL COLORATO (see technical data sheet) it is possible to apply OIL WAX PLUS after 24 hours. Allow the floor at least 24 hours drying time before taking it into use, avoid foot traffik during this time. Maximum resistances are reached after about 15 days at standard temperature and humidity conditions (20°C and 65% H.R.) so before making any maintenance it is advisable to wait this time lapse. During this time, maintenance has to be done only with anti-dust cloths. The regular maintenance has to be done using LIOS range products (see technical data sheets); the intensive maintenance has to be done with WAX CARE (see technical data sheet); extraordinary maintenance has to be done with OIL WAX PLUS.

Use a wet cotton cloth to remove SIGIL-LA when still fresh, remove the excess by peeling or with a plastic trowel after complete hardening. Be carefull when cleaning, do not scratch or ruin the floor. The maintenance of treated with SIGIL-LAhas done with VELUREX range of products (see technical data sheets). Notes: SIGIL-LA is easy to apply, once dry it becomes transparent. It is advisable to wait at least 12-24 hours before heavy traffic, the complete hardening of the product will be reached within 24-48 hours. Keep away from frost.
